![]() Most of these characters seem so two-dimensional. He was one of the few I actually cared about and honestly wanted to see more of him. He was one of the few who had deeper motivations and some development. The banter between Denji, Power, and Aki is endearing. ![]() The story is fast-paced and hits the ground running from the first chapter. If the story had been twice as long, it would have had more time to be fleshed out. It wasn’t anything spectacular but it wasn’t bad either. But other than gore/visuals at times, it has no outstanding qualities. ![]() So it doesn't have to be complex, and there's nothing wrong with that. Only reason it still has a 'positive' score is because it's for Shonen Jump. What we're left with is a manga which had gold, and now is a (literal) bloody mess that honestly, isn't even worth picking up anymore if you just want to keep going/reading. To the point where, in my opinion, the MC commits character suicide. Even the most relevant characters to the plot, have nothing going for them anymore. turn out to be just one dimensional and non existant. Plotlines that seem more than surface level appear to be non existant, characters that seemed to have interesting things, growth, reasoning to them. It would still be fine (you can draw a line somewhere around 50 as well but sure).īut boy does it go downhill. I would say that if I just read the first 80 chapters. Characters that were introduced were not boring clones of each other and seemed to have their own things going for them. while not overly complex, what seemed to be the premise of a good story. Having picked this up after the hype around the anime (that i haven't watched, nor at this point intend to), I was dragged in initially by.
